Curiosity is MY fuel for imagination and creativity.

Behind my Grandparent's bar hung a large world map dotted with little red pins that marked all the places they had traveled. Grandad would mix me a Blue Hawaiian (virgin, of course), and I would study the map.

This quest for knowledge and understanding led me to every corner of our planet. I’ve sailed through the Panama Canal, gone spelunking in the caves of Borneo, traveled by train from Beijing to Moscow, and swam with sharks on the Great Barrier Reef. 

On every trip, I made room in my luggage for a camera and a bag full of film.

After settling in San Francisco I studied photography at the Academy of Art, produced for Williams Sonoma, and since then have shot campaigns for many clients including Dignity Health, UCSF Children’s Hospitals, Livestrong, Ogilvy, and the Bay Area Discovery Museum. Amongst all this I had two gorgeous kids, Maeyana and Kenjo.

In 2019, 2020, 2022, and 2023 I was selected as one of the top 100 photographers of APA SF’s Something Personal. One of my images was an Official Selection in the 2022 IPA awards and my Small Steps project was a finalist in the IPA ‘s 2023 Deeper Perspectives.

The curiosity and joy of discovery that has been inside me since I was a child continues to be a tremendous inspiration in my work, and my mission is to capture the innocence of children and their endless wonder to discover the world around them.

My thirst for travel has not dissipated, but these days when not I am not working, most of my time is spent at home in the small seaside village of Sausalito, California, with my husband and two kids.
